Fin Ford samling på NZ RS500 & RS200

Men om ni inte sett det så var jag tvungen att dela med mig.
Är kopireat rakt av med bilder och storyn.
Over the Xmas break, myself and lovely girlfriend went around the countryside a bit. Passing through a sleepy, little nothing town in the middle of absolutely nowhere, I happened to glance at the Ford showroom as we passed on through @ 50km/h. What I saw made me literally do a double take! Stopped and took a few photos through the window (as it was closed for the Xmas break) - but a buddy and I made the trip there yesterday, after confirming on the phone that they would indeed be open and we would be allowed to take photos.
Luckily for us the owner of all three cars just happened to be out the back of the showroom, and came out to help us lift bonnets etc and spent a good half an hour talking us through the cars, their history, how he came to aquire them and what was planned for them in the near future!!
I'll add bits of info to the pictures as I can remember it, but mostly, I'll let the pictures do the talking.
I would like to think that even if you are not a Ford fan, this would be reasonably impressive. It impressed the hell out of me!
Righto, on with the show....
First few pics are through the glass, so not very good, but as mentioned - the dealership was closed this
particular day.
Each car had an info sheet beside it which explained the pertinet facts of it's history.
The info sheet didn't come out at all readable on the camera, which is a shame - as this car has an interesting history...
Amazing these things were so quick, given how tiny their turbos were compared to what you can find on a run-of-
the-mill Evo/WRX these days!
Ok. This has been impressive so far. But here is the real kicker about this car. Prepare yourself for this...
990km since it left Boreham. Never been registered. Still has original tyres, cold start sticker on the
windscreen etc. Still smells like a new car!! Slightly mindblowing I thought...

Next up, his "road" car. Genuine RS 500 cossie in Mint condition. Completely original, other than tyres and
exhaust. And it is mint. He's had it resprayed, new headlights, badges etc etc. Basically, a full rebuild. And
only 47,000 kms on the clock.
even has the Ford hoseclamps on it! (sorry, rubbish photo!)
The chap told us he regularly drives it around and up and down the country. Doesn't look like it's ever been
outside the showroom!

Now the main event. Genuine Gp. A touring car, as built by Eggenbergers in Switzerland... just mouthwatering.
Apparently, no-one here is able to map this ECU properly, so it's all going back to Switzerland for a remap!
2nd fuel rail not actually hooked up, so that will get sorted out when it gets remapped.
still has the original bag in the tank
There ya go. An impressive collection for little ol NZ.
